Kebbi Hisbah Nabs 25 Suspects in Argungu Hotel Over Alleged Vices

The Kebbi State Hisbah Board, operating under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, has confirmed the apprehension of twenty-five young individuals in Argungu town. These arrests were made on suspicion of their involvement in illicit activities.
Sirajo Kamba, who serves as the Director of Shariah for the Board, disclosed this information in a statement provided to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday. Kamba stated, "On July 3, the Kebbi Hisbah Board carried out a raid at a hotel in Argungu and successfully apprehended 25 suspects allegedly involved in immoral activities."
He further detailed that those taken into custody comprise twelve males and thirteen females. This operation, according to Kamba, forms a crucial part of the Board's continuous efforts to combat various social ills, uphold moral standards, and ensure peace and decorum throughout Kebbi State.
Kamba also indicated that the Hisbah Board intends to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter, strictly adhering to legal procedures. Any person found to be culpable will subsequently face the appropriate legal consequences.
