Zamfara Mother, Two Children Regain Liberty After Month-Long Captivity

Nana Batula, a woman from Zamfara State, along with her two young children, has finally been released from the clutches of bandits after enduring a month in their captivity. The family's ordeal began on May 30, 2026, when armed assailants stormed their home in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara. Tragically, during the invasion, Nana Batula's husband, Sagir Umar, was killed before she and the children were forcefully taken away.
Their freedom was confirmed on July 1, 2026, by security analyst Bakatsine. A close family source also corroborated the news of their release, expressing profound gratitude to Allah for their safe return from the kidnappers' den.
Presently, Nana Batula and her children are receiving essential medical care and psychological support to help them recover from the trauma of their experience.
