Zamfara: Troops Nab Alleged Terror Logistics Provider, Seize 150 Combat Boots

Security forces operating under Sector 2 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have successfully apprehended an individual suspected of supplying logistics to terrorist groups. The arrest occurred during a routine stop-and-search exercise conducted along the Sokoto–Gusau Road in Zamfara State. On June 24, 2026, the suspect was intercepted while driving a Honda Civic vehicle, which was found to be transporting military-related items and electronic devices believed to be intended for terrorist organizations active in Nigeria's North-West region.
Among the significant items recovered from the vehicle were 150 pairs of combat boots, three jackknives, three electric shockers, one tear gas canister, a military beret, and a belt. Additionally, the troops confiscated two Android phones, one iPad, and a digital wristwatch, all considered crucial for ongoing investigations. The apprehended suspect has been taken into custody for further interrogation, and the seized items are currently undergoing profiling as part of broader efforts to dismantle the intricate logistics and supply networks used by terrorists in the area.
Military authorities have emphasized that this arrest underscores Operation FANSAN YAMMA's unwavering dedication to disrupting the movement of logistics and equipment essential for terrorist activities across the North-West. They also called upon members of the public to continue providing timely and credible intelligence to security agencies, which is vital in supporting ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
