Ebonyi Operation Nets 75-Year-Old Alleged Drug Kingpin

In a significant development in the fight against illicit substances, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended a 75-year-old man, identified as Okebe Samuel, in Ebonyi State. This arrest is part of the agency's ongoing nationwide campaign to curb the spread of dangerous drugs. According to Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy at NDLEA Headquarters, the suspect was taken into custody by operatives in the Okposi community. Upon search, Samuel was found to be in possession of 300 grammes of skunk, a potent strain of cannabis, which had been packaged in small sachets apparently for distribution among young people in the area. The NDLEA's action underscores its commitment to ridding the country of the menace of drug trafficking, regardless of the age or background of those involved.
