Armed Men Raid Ogbomoso Immigration Facility, Seize Officers' Firearms

In a brazen attack, a group of gunmen stormed the Immigration Office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on June 2, 2026, at approximately 10pm. The facility, situated on the Ogbomoso – Ilorin new expressway, was targeted while activities were still ongoing at the nearby Ayanyan Cattle Market. According to reports, the armed men dispossessed officers on duty of their firearms before escaping into the night. The Oyo State Police Command's spokesperson, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that he had not received an official briefing on the incident at the time of reporting. 'I will provide updates as soon as the necessary information becomes available,' DSP Ayanlade added. The attack has raised concerns about the security of government facilities in the area.
