Lekan Remilekun Shares Agony Over Father Missing for 26 Years

Renowned Nigerian gospel artist, Lekan Remilekun, recently disclosed the poignant narrative surrounding his father's disappearance, revealing he has been unaccounted for over two and a half decades. During an appearance on the 'Talk to B' podcast, the musician recounted how his father, identified as Remilekun Amos, vanished without a trace in November 2000. Amos had journeyed to Akure for a gospel ministration and was never sighted thereafter.
Lekan expressed that the anguish stemming from the uncertainty of his father's fate remains profound. He further noted that this emotional burden has intensified, particularly as his own offspring now frequently inquire about their paternal grandfather. He articulated the sentiment of a Yoruba adage, highlighting that while the loss of a dear one brings sorrow, the absence of closure—the uncertainty of life or death—imposes a far more grievous emotional toll.
