Bolanle Olukanni: Posting Group Photos Where Only You Shine Isn't Friendship

Media personality Bolanle Olukanni recently shared her perspective on what constitutes a good friend, specifically concerning the etiquette of sharing group photographs on social media. In a video posted to her Instagram account, Olukanni asserted that a person who uploads a group picture where they are the only one looking presentable, while others appear less flattering, lacks true friendship.
She expressed her strong conviction, stating, "If she posts a group picture and she's the only one that looks good in the picture, she ain't your friend." Olukanni elaborated on her definition of loyalty within friendships, emphasizing that genuine camaraderie dictates that all individuals in a shared photograph should appear well. "’Cause you don't post group pictures where you're the only one that looks good. Loyalty means posting group pictures where everybody looks good. Loyalty means posting group pictures where everyone has a good angle," she articulated.
Furthermore, the media personality highlighted that a mark of a truly good friend is their willingness to forgo sharing an otherwise excellent photo of themselves if it means their companions do not look their best. She added, "Loyalty means sacrificing a good group picture because your friend don't look good in it. That's a test of true friendship." Bolanle Olukanni reiterated this stance in her caption, writing, "I stand on this ten toes down!! like a true friend will sacrifice that fire picture for the sake of others. If everyone doesnt look good, don’t post it."
