Abounce Fawole Confirms No Love for Yvonne, Cites Honour for Son's Mother

Nollywood actor Olakunle ‘Abounce’ Fawole recently shared insights into his relationship with his ex-wife, Yvonne Jegede, with whom he has a son named Xavier. The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, separated in 2019 due to what they described as irreconcilable differences. Despite Yvonne Jegede having made several public statements against him since their split, Fawole insists he holds no animosity towards her.

During a recent discussion with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Abounce elaborated on his stance regarding past romantic partners. He emphasized his aversion to maintaining ill feelings, stating, "I would rather say everything was my fault, not because of anything but so that….I don't like the enmity of things. I don't want to see someone I have been with and then turn my face away. If I saw Yvonne now, why would I turn my face away?" He reiterated this point, underscoring his desire to avoid conflict.

When pressed on whether he still harbored love for Yvonne, Fawole's reply was a direct "No." However, he swiftly clarified that he deeply respects her because she is the mother of his child. Illustrating the extent of this respect, he declared that if Yvonne were ever in danger, he would go as far as "k!lling the person troubling Yvonne just to protect her," highlighting his commitment to her safety, even in the absence of romantic affection.
