Speed Darlington to Parents: Two Children Are Enough for Proper Upbringing

Popular Nigerian music artist, Speed Darlington, has recently urged individuals to responsibly consider the number of children they can adequately provide for. In a viral video where he communicated in the Igbo language, the entertainer expressed his view that it is unsuitable for someone, for instance, a palm wine tapper, to have a large family of seven or five children.

According to Darlington, one or two children represent an adequate family size. He further clarified that while a single child might be sufficient, having two children is a more practical choice. His reasoning stems from the belief that the responsibility of planning and carrying out parental burial rites could be overwhelmingly burdensome for just one individual. His advice highlights a call for thoughtful family planning within society.
