Nigeria Excluded as Google's Gemini Spark Reaches More Users

Google has broadened the availability of its artificial intelligence agent, Gemini Spark, designed to autonomously manage tasks and monitor activities in the background for users. While the service is now accessible to a wider audience, it remains a premium offering.
Subscribers in the United States can access Gemini Spark through the Google AI Pro tier, priced at $20 monthly. For users globally, access requires a subscription to Google AI Ultra, which carries an approximate starting cost of $100, varying by market.
However, certain regions, including countries within the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Nigeria, are currently excluded from accessing Gemini Spark. Google’s official support documentation reassures users in these areas, stating that access is being rapidly expanded to additional individuals and businesses in the coming weeks.
Built upon the Gemini 3.5 model, Gemini Spark is engineered for seamless background operation. Its capabilities include providing users with a daily summary of scheduled tasks, drawing information from their calendars, documents, notes, and email inboxes, among other functionalities.
The market for AI agents sees similar offerings from competitors at comparable price points. OpenAI’s ChatGPT Work and Anthropic’s Claude Cowork, for instance, are both available exclusively on paid subscription tiers, with prices starting around $20 per month. A key distinction, however, is that these rival platforms are already accessible to users in Europe and the United Kingdom.
