Ronaldo's 2008 Triumph Leads Fan Poll for Ballon d'Or's Best

Al Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has taken a significant lead in an official online fan poll launched by the Ballon d'Or platform. This special competition, which commenced at the beginning of October, aims to identify the most exceptional winning season in the prestigious award's history, as voted by football enthusiasts worldwide.

The unique initiative challenges fans to cast their votes for a specific season rather than simply selecting their favourite player. The contest features ten football legends who have each secured the Ballon d'Or trophy at least twice. These iconic players include Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo himself, Ronaldo Nazário, Marco van Basten, Michel Platini, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Kevin Keegan, Franz Beckenbauer, Johan Cruyff, and Alfredo Di Stéfano.

Currently, Cristiano Ronaldo's remarkable 2008 Ballon d'Or-winning campaign stands at the forefront, commanding an impressive 62% of the total votes. That year marked a pivotal moment in the Portuguese superstar's career, as he clinched his inaugural Ballon d'Or while representing Manchester United.

Participation in the poll requires a payment of €1 per vote, and supporters are granted the flexibility to cast as many votes as they desire, even repeatedly for the same player or season. The official voting period is scheduled to conclude on October 27 at midnight.
