Kelechi Iheanacho Emerges Top Player in Turkish TFF 1. Lig’s Opening Games

Nigerian international forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has been recognized for his outstanding performance, earning the title of best player for the initial eight match days in Turkey's TFF 1. Lig.

The 29-year-old ex-Leicester City star received this prestigious accolade during the beIN 1. Lig broadcast. The selection was made by show moderator Turgay Keskin and football commentator Tunç Kayacı, who simultaneously identified Bursaspor as the standout team during the same introductory period of the season.

Since arriving at the Turkish side as a free agent this summer, Iheanacho has been in phenomenal form. Across eight league outings, he has netted an impressive 11 goals and contributed two assists, remarkably scoring in every single game he has played for the club.

Iheanacho’s prolific scoring has been instrumental in Bursaspor's robust start to their league campaign. The team has secured six victories and a single draw from their first eight fixtures, accumulating 19 points, which initially propelled them to the summit of the league standings.

Currently, Bursaspor occupies the second spot in the league table. Their position is just behind Kayserispor, who lead the division based on a superior goal difference.
