Nigerian international and Galatasaray's attacking force, Victor Osimhen, found the back of the net for the sixth time this season before a forced exit due to injury. His club, the reigning Turkish champions, secured a dramatic 3-2 victory against Istanbul Basaksehir on Friday.

Osimhen opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 16th minute, expertly concluding an offensive play to give his side an early advantage. However, his time on the pitch was cut short as he sustained an injury, leading to his substitution just 17 minutes later. Barış Alper Yılmaz came on as his replacement.

After the half-time break, Istanbul Basaksehir managed to draw level. Eldor Shomurodov successfully converted a penalty kick in the 66th minute. Galatasaray quickly responded, regaining their lead five minutes later when Lucas Torreira netted in the 71st minute following a well-orchestrated team effort.

The home side's lead was once again erased when Davinson Sánchez unfortunately scored an own goal, restoring parity and setting the stage for a nail-biting conclusion. As the match appeared destined for a draw, Gabriel Sara delivered a moment of brilliance in the 90th minute, curling a free-kick into the net to clinch all three points for Galatasaray.

This hard-fought win maintains Galatasaray's impressive start to their season. All eyes will now be on the medical reports to determine the full extent of Osimhen's injury following his premature departure from the game.
