Chelsea Eyes Experience with Henderson, Welbeck Signings

According to reports from football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are close to agreeing on personal terms with the duo. Henderson, who is 36 years old, has been with Brentford and has a year left on his contract, but the club is willing to let him leave on a free transfer. On the other hand, Welbeck, who is 35 years old, has been with Brighton & Hove Albion and is keen on making a move to Stamford Bridge. The English striker had a remarkable season with Brighton, scoring a career-high 13 league goals in 37 games, taking his tally to 51 goals in 201 matches since joining the club in 2020. Welbeck had signed a 12-month contract extension in March, with his current deal running until the end of the 2026-27 season. Henderson, who played for England at the World Cup, made 34 appearances in all competitions for Brentford last season after joining from Ajax.
