Man City Set to Pocket £65m from Savinho's Tottenham Move

Reports are emerging that Manchester City is on the verge of selling their star player, Savinho, to Tottenham for a whopping £65m. According to The Daily Mail, Enzo Maresca's team has already begun searching for potential replacements for the Brazilian player, who is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium. Fans have taken to social media to express their mixed feelings about the move, with some praising Director of Football Hugo Viana for securing a good price for the player. '65 mil is insane for him, Viana masterclass again,' tweeted Ninos Agathocleous. Another fan, Kirk, expressed sadness at seeing Savinho go, saying 'Good fee but sad to see him go.' Savinho had a somewhat disappointing season with Manchester City, scoring just 4 goals and providing 3 assists in 36 appearances. The 22-year-old had been pursued by Spurs for over a year, with the North London club initially attempting to sign him last summer. However, the deal did not materialize, and Savinho struggled to make an impact under former manager Pep Guardiola. With Maresca seemingly willing to let him go, the question on everyone's mind is who Manchester City will target as his replacement. The Daily Mail has confirmed that Viana is eyeing Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye, an 18-year-old Senegalese international whose affairs are now being managed by superagent Jorge Mendes. Given Viana and Mendes' strong working relationship, Manchester City are favorites to sign Mbaye, ahead of other interested clubs like Aston Villa and Spurs. Mbaye is a highly-rated young player, but he faces stiff competition at PSG, with the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Bradley Barcola all vying for playing time. The European champions are also looking to recruit RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche, which could further reduce Mbaye's chances of playing.
