Governor Radda Mobilizes Katsina for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid

Full Story
Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has called upon the inhabitants of Musawa Local Government Area to rally behind President Bola Tinubu's quest for re-election in 2027. The governor emphasized that the community ought to show gratitude for the federal appointments granted to its prominent members by the President.
This plea was made by Governor Radda during the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 campaign gathering held in Musawa on Friday. He specifically highlighted the elevation of Hannatu Musa Musawa to Minister of Art, Culture and Tourism, alongside other Musawa indigenes securing federal roles, as compelling reasons for their continued support for Tinubu.
"President Tinubu has shown remarkable recognition to the people of Musawa," Governor Radda stated. He further added, "This community has been blessed with a minister, and numerous opportunities have been created for its citizens to occupy significant federal offices. Specifically, he appointed Hannatu Musa Musawa as minister and Muntaqa Jikamshi, among others, to various federal positions."
During the same rally, Governor Radda also addressed local infrastructure concerns. He gave assurances to the residents that construction would commence on the Musawa water project and the necessary repairs for the damaged dam within the upcoming week.
A key component of the event was an empowerment initiative. As part of this program, 200 motorcycles were handed out, and a financial aid package of ₦50,000 was disbursed to 1,050 women and over 800 students residing in both Musawa and Matazu local government areas.
Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, widely recognized as Dujiman Katsina and the federal lawmaker representing the Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency, was instrumental in facilitating this empowerment scheme. Ahmed reaffirmed the constituency's unwavering commitment to Governor Radda's administration. He also unveiled plans for an additional distribution of 1,000 motorcycles across Musawa and Matazu. Furthermore, he indicated that relief provisions would be provided to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Matazu on Saturday.
Earlier in the proceedings, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, who serves as the Director-General for the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 Campaign Council and is a former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, expressed his appreciation for the impressive turnout and patience of the residents. He clarified that this rally was part of the council's broader outreach efforts spanning all 34 local government areas within Katsina State.
Bishir Gambo Saulawa, the Katsina State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), appealed to party members to uphold cohesion. He lauded political leaders and stakeholders for successfully resolving internal disagreements through consensus-building. Saulawa urged members to maintain this spirit of cooperation as political preparations for the 2027 general elections intensify.
