BUA Boss Rabiu, Son Visit President Tinubu for Nigeria's 66th Independence Celebration

Abdul Samad Rabiu, the Chairman of BUA Group and a prominent billionaire businessman, recently paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu, accompanied by his son, Isyaku Abdulsamad Khalifa, in observance of Nigeria’s Independence Day.
The BUA boss posted photographs from this visit on his X social media account on Friday. Rabiu conveyed his profound appreciation for the opportunity to meet with the President once more, using the occasion to extend his best wishes. He stated, “Honoured to once again visit His Excellency, the President, with Khalifa, and to extend our warm wishes on the occasion of Nigeria’s Independence Day.”
He further remarked that such national celebrations provide a valuable moment for collective reflection on Nigeria's historical trajectory and to gaze forward with optimism towards its coming years. According to Rabiu, “It is always a pleasure to share such moments as we reflect on our nation’s journey and look forward with hope to the future.”
The industrialist also extended his heartfelt congratulations to all citizens, whether residing within the country or overseas. He wished them, “Wishing all Nigerians, at home and abroad, a very Happy Independence Day. May our beloved country continue to enjoy peace, unity, progress and prosperity.”
Nigeria attained its sovereignty from British colonial administration on October 1, 1960. The country is set to commemorate its 66th year of independence in 2026, with October 1 observed annually as a nationwide public holiday to mark this significant historical event.
