Abdullahi Sule Unveils New Commissioner Nominees for Nasarawa State

In a move aimed at strengthening his administration, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has nominated eight individuals to serve as commissioners. This development was announced by the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, during a plenary session in Lafia. According to the Speaker, the nominees include Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo from Wamba Local Government Area, Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed from Lafia Local Government Area, and Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi Local Government Area. Other nominees are Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye from Obi Local Government Area, Adamu Rabecca Kpadji from Wamba Local Government Area, Nawani Aboki from Doma Local Government Area, Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim FCNA from Nasarawa Local Government Area, and Ashefo Daniel Paul from Lafia Local Government Area. The Speaker has directed the Clerk of the House to inform the nominees to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae and appear for screening on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the State House of Assembly. This announcement comes on the heels of a minor cabinet reshuffle that took place on July 22, which involved six commissioners stepping aside from their positions. The reshuffle, which was disclosed by the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Labaran Shuaibu Magaji (SAN), affected the ministries of Works, Women Affairs, Information, Lands, Science and Technology, and Security and Other Sundry Matters.
