South-West APC Leaders Unite Behind Oyebamiji for Osun Governorship Election

In a strategic move to bolster the All Progressives Congress' chances in the upcoming Osun State governorship election, the party's candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, convened a meeting with key stakeholders from the South-West region. The gathering, which took place at the Lagos State House in Marina, was attended by prominent figures including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and former Osun State Governor Chief Bisi Akande. Also in attendance were APC governorship candidates from neighboring states such as Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos. According to Oyebamiji, the meeting focused on aligning campaign strategies and reinforcing unity among party members ahead of the August 15 poll. In a post on social media, Oyebamiji expressed his appreciation for the support and insights garnered from the meeting, stating, 'This evening at the Lagos State House, Marina, I met with leaders of our party from the Southwest, including the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency @jidesanwoolu; the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency @LuckyAiyedatiwa; our Baba Chief Bisi Akande; and my brother candidates from Oyo, Ogun and Lagos States, for a strategic engagement focused on the road ahead for our campaign.' He further emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration, noting that these elements are crucial to the party's success in the region. Oyebamiji reiterated his commitment to prioritizing economic growth, youth empowerment, and responsible governance if elected, saying, 'Our mission remains clear: to restore sustainable economic growth, create opportunities for our youth, empower our people, and deliver responsible governance that will improve the lives of every resident of Osun State.' With the backing of South-West APC leaders, Oyebamiji expressed confidence in the party's ability to secure victory in the upcoming election, stating, 'I remain grateful for the confidence reposed in me and assured that, with the support of our party, the National Campaign Council, and the good people of Osun State, we will, by the grace of God, secure victory and usher in a new era of shared prosperity for our dear state.'
