First Lady Remi Tinubu Engages Sultan of Sokoto on National Unity

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, at the revered Seat of the Caliphate. This engagement forms part of an ongoing drive to foster national peace, unity, and overall development.

Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State expressed his profound appreciation for the First Lady's visit, highlighting it as a clear indication of the robust ties connecting the Presidency, the Sultanate, and the citizens of Sokoto State.

Governor Aliyu, in a social media post on X platform on Saturday, emphasized the profound significance of the meeting. He stated that the interaction underscored the critical need for collaborative efforts between Nigeria's traditional institutions and governmental bodies to effectively tackle national challenges and enhance the well-being of all Nigerians.

Furthermore, Governor Aliyu lauded Mrs. Tinubu for her unwavering dedication to uplifting the lives of citizens through the Renewed Hope Initiative. He characterized her humanitarian endeavors as a substantial contribution to the nation's progress.

“I commend the First Lady’s commitment to uplifting the lives of Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Initiative and appreciate her kind words about our dear state and our revered Sultan,” Governor Aliyu stated.
