Osun Governor Adeleke Blasts APC Over Failed Attempts to Halt Development Projects

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has come down hard on the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the party as being in a state of acute political depression. This follows the APC's failed attempts to stop his administration from executing various infrastructure projects across the state. Governor Adeleke made this statement after touring nine local government areas, where he commissioned several projects and solicited support for his re-election bid. According to the governor, the APC had attempted to divert over N350 billion meant for local government projects, but his administration had successfully completed these projects despite the opposition's efforts. 'I have visited nine local government areas, and the overwhelming support from the people is truly astounding. The people of Osun appreciate the various projects we have executed, from Osogbo to Iwo, Ila, Ilesa, and Ile Ife. Where the Osun APC failed, my administration has delivered, and our people are testifying to this fact,' Governor Adeleke said. He further stated that his administration had adopted the best engineering practices and complied with the law and due process in the execution of these projects. 'We have delivered quality projects, complete with maintenance packages for long-term use. Since the Osun APC failed to stop our developmental agenda, the party has fallen into disarray and is now suffering from acute political depression. Its leaders are defecting to other parties on a daily basis,' the governor added. Governor Adeleke expressed his gratitude to the people of Iwo, Ifelodun, Boripe, Odo Otin, Ejigbo, Atakumosa, Ife South, Ayedire, and Olaoluwa for their massive support, promising to reach out to other outstanding towns soon. He warned the people of Osun to be vigilant and not fall prey to the psychological warfare being waged by the Osun APC, urging them to protect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and National Identification Numbers (NIN). 'On August 15th, our votes will count, and nobody can rig this election. I task the people of Osun to ignore all the rumors and get ready to vote and defend their votes next month,' the governor said.
