Payment records indicate that the Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of Inspector-General Olatunji Rilwan Disu, disbursed a staggering N1.74 billion within a single day for the acquisition of ten 2024 model Toyota Land Cruiser Prado V6 vehicles. Specifically, two payments, each amounting to N868.5 million, were made to Mujaf Automobile Nigeria Ltd. These transactions, recorded under 'Police formations and commands,' shared identical descriptions: 'Being payment for the supply of 5 nos. Toyota Landcruiser Prado V6 2024 model to the Nigeria Police Force.' The combined sum from these two same-day disbursements for ten vehicles totaled N1.737 billion.

This expenditure suggests an average cost of N173.7 million for each Toyota Prado, based on the total amount the police force remitted. These significant transactions occurred less than three months after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's appointment of Disu as the Acting Inspector-General of Police on February 24, 2026. This followed the departure of former IGP Kayode Egbetokun. Disu's official decoration and assumption of duty at Louis Edet House, Abuja, took place on February 25, with the Nigeria Police Council unanimously endorsing his appointment on March 2, 2026.

This revelation comes after SaharaReporters previously disclosed that the Nigeria Police Force, then under the leadership of Inspector-General Kayode Egbetokun, expended more than N239.4 million in 2025 on various food items. These included tinned fish, biscuits, Ovaltine, milk, Milo, and canned baked beans. An exclusive report highlighted a N22 million expenditure on 85 cartons of cracker biscuits for operational personnel. Records under 'Police formations and commands' detail numerous payments to different suppliers for 'dry rations' provided to officers deployed for security surveillance missions across various geo-political zones.

On June 30, 2025, the portal shows that Oran Global Investment Limited received N8.4 million from police formations and commands for 'Eighty cartoons of geisha and other items as dry ration to personnel on security surveillance operations in the north-west geo political zone.' Subsequently, on November 11, 2025, the police disbursed N19.6 million to Chiomstic Resources. This payment was for 'the supply of 100no cartons of Ovaltine nutritious, 100 no cartons of corn flakes, 103no cartons of geisha and others.' The following day, November 12, 2025, Oran Global Investment Limited again received funds, this time N23.2 million, from police formations and commands. This was documented as payment 'for the supply of 150 ctns of geisha, 100 ctns of can bake beans and dry rations items to personnel on sec. surv. operations in the north-west geo-pol. zone.'

Additional records reveal that on December 27, 2025, Elasoptic Ventures Ltd was paid N21.6 million by Police formations and commands. This transaction was for 'the supply of 150 no of cartons of geisha, 100 nos cartons of can baked bean and 2' other items. Also on December 27, 2025, Danlokey Systems Limited obtained N21.6 million. The description stated 'payment for the supply of 100ctns of geisha, 150ctns of can baked beans, 100 cream cracker biscuit & other items.' Prior to these, on December 18, 2025, Danlokey Systems Limited had also received N21.6 million. This payment was designated 'for the supply of 150 cartons geisha, 100 cartons of can bake beans, 100 cartons of cream cracker biscuit and others.'
