According to Rodriguez, the seismic events also resulted in a staggering 5,034 people sustaining various injuries, with tens of thousands more still reported missing amidst the widespread destruction. In related tragic incidents, Ghana’s capital city has been brought to a standstill by severe floods, leading to the deaths of three people. Furthermore, the Venezuelan earthquake disaster has personally impacted an Argentine footballer, who tragically lost his wife and two children. Separately, a deadly Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Sokoto, Nigeria, claimed one life and left several others injured.
