Venezuela Earthquake Disaster: Official Confirms 1,719 Fatalities

Caracas, Venezuela – The devastating series of earthquakes that rocked Venezuela five days ago has now officially claimed the lives of at least 1,719 individuals. This grim update was provided on Monday by Jorge Rodriguez, the president of the National Assembly.
According to Rodriguez, the seismic events also resulted in a staggering 5,034 people sustaining various injuries, with tens of thousands more still reported missing amidst the widespread destruction. Rescue efforts continue across the affected regions as authorities grapple with the immense scale of the humanitarian crisis.
In related tragic incidents, Ghana’s capital city has been brought to a standstill by severe floods, leading to the deaths of three people. Furthermore, the Venezuelan earthquake disaster has personally impacted an Argentine footballer, who tragically lost his wife and two children. Separately, a deadly Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Sokoto, Nigeria, claimed one life and left several others injured.
