Peter Obi Condoles Obidient Family on Edo Secretary's Demise

The former presidential flagbearer for the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has publicly expressed his sorrow over the passing of Benedict Inaede, a member of the Obidient Movement from Edo State. Obi conveyed his grief in a Friday post on the social media platform, X, describing Inaede's death as a profound and irreplaceable blow to the Obidient community.
"I have just received the sad news of the death of one of our Obidient family members from Edo State, Comrade Benedict Inaede,” Obi stated in his message. He extended heartfelt sympathies to Inaede's immediate family and to the entire Obidient Movement, speaking on behalf of himself and his own family. "On behalf of my family and the Obidient Movement family, I sincerely condole with his immediate family and the entire Obidient family. His death is a painful and irreplaceable loss to us all," he further added.
Obi concluded his statement with prayers for the eternal rest of Inaede's soul and for divine strength to be granted to his family and the movement as they navigate this significant loss. "May Almighty God, who has called him home, grant him eternal rest and grant his family and all of us the fortitude to bear this profound loss. May we continue to remember his family in prayers for God Almighty’s continued blessings,” he prayed.
Benedict Inaede played a crucial role as the Edo State Secretary of the Obidient Movement. In this capacity, he actively participated in various state-level initiatives and was responsible for issuing public statements on behalf of the movement's executive council. The precise circumstances surrounding Inaede's demise were not detailed in the statement released by Obi.
