Report: Tinubu, Wike Lauded as Akpabio Unveils Abuja Road Project

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to delivering infrastructure projects, describing him as a 'deliverer of projects'. Akpabio made this remark while representing Tinubu at the commissioning of a newly constructed road in the Federal Capital Territory. The road, which is part of Tinubu's third-year-in-office project commissioning programme, is expected to last for decades without developing potholes. Akpabio also praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, referring to him as a 'miracle worker' for his efforts in delivering quality infrastructure projects. The Senate President expressed confidence in the durability of the road, citing his experience with the construction company that handled the project during his tenure as governor. He noted that one of the roads constructed by the company during his administration was commissioned 15 years ago and still has no potholes. Akpabio attributed the success of the project to the use of good construction companies and commended Wike for his dedication to delivering quality projects. He also appreciated Tinubu for bringing Wike to the FCT, saying that the minister has been doing 'miracle work' on a daily basis. The commissioning of the road is part of a 30-day programme of project commissioning by the minister, which is a first in the history of Nigeria. Akpabio expressed optimism about the quality of infrastructure that will be delivered under the current administration, citing the use of good construction companies and the commitment of the minister to delivering quality projects.
