Bayelsa Community Crowns NDDC Boss Samuel Ogbuku as Daufa VI

In a historic development, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Samuel Ogbuku, has been crowned the Paramount Ruler of Ayakoro Community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. This significant event was announced in a statement issued by the NDDC Director of Corporate Affairs, Seledi Thompson-Wakama, on Sunday in Port Harcourt. The ascension of Ogbuku to the traditional throne marks a new era for the ancient riverine community, coming six months after the passing of the former monarch. According to the Ayakoro Community Constitution, the former Deputy Paramount Ruler automatically succeeds to the throne, ensuring continuity in the traditional leadership structure. The transition process was supervised by officials from the Bayelsa State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and also saw Chief Micha Itekesi assume the position of Deputy Paramount Ruler. For the people of Ayakoro, Ogbuku's emergence as the new Paramount Ruler represents the enthronement of a leader who has earned their respect through his years of service and commitment to community development.
