Ekiti Governorship Election: ADC Exudes Confidence in Upset Victory

As the Ekiti State governorship election draws near, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed optimism about its chances of winning. The party's deputy governorship candidate, Chief Ayodeji Babatola, stated that the ADC's development-focused agenda has resonated with the people of Ekiti, who are eager for a change. Speaking in Ado Ekiti, Babatola noted that the party's campaign promises have attracted residents who are drawn to its economic and infrastructure proposals aimed at improving living standards across the state. He criticized the mismanagement of public funds by the current All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, citing the newly completed flyover in Ado Ekiti as an example of wasteful spending. According to Babatola, the ADC government will prioritize viable projects that promote good health, welfare, and other aspects of spending in Ekiti, as opposed to wasting public resources. The party plans to judiciously spend Ekiti's money to benefit the state. Babatola also emphasized the importance of agriculture, industrialization, and infrastructure development, stating that the party will invest in these areas to bring about development and job creation. He expressed confidence in the party's chances, saying that the APC's internal crises and the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) weakened state due to leadership struggles have created an opportunity for the ADC to win. Babatola urged party supporters to protect their votes during the election, emphasizing the need for them to come out and vote, and to stand by their votes until they are counted. He believes that if the party's supporters do this, the ADC will emerge victorious.
