Igbo Presidency Hinges on Attitude Change, Says APC's Joe Igbokwe

A prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has emphasized that the prospect of an Igbo individual assuming the presidency of Nigeria is contingent upon a significant transformation in the political approach and the establishment of strategic alliances with other regions. This assertion was made by Igbokwe in a recent post on social media, where he addressed the forthcoming 2027 presidential election. He expressed concern over the behavior of some individuals from the South-East on online platforms, questioning how the region expects to secure the highest political office in the country while continually alienating potential allies through hostile social media interactions. Igbokwe stated, 'You cannot insult everybody and expect them to vote for you,' thereby underscoring the need for more collaborative engagement in the lead-up to the next general elections. According to him, a shift in attitude and a more inclusive approach are essential for the realization of an Igbo presidency.
