Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has publicly discussed his ongoing health struggles. The esteemed film star disclosed that he is not in good health, specifically highlighting difficulties with mobility. He shared these personal details during a recent visit to his long-time friend and industry colleague, Emmanuel Armah, who is also grappling with his own health issues.
During their conversation, Edochie conveyed his current physical state to Armah, stating, "Sitting down here, I'm not very well, myself, I'm not. Walking is a problem for me now, but, I still have hope that I will recover myself." The legendary actor further elaborated on his symptoms, mentioning episodes of body swelling. "Sometimes I get up and parts of my body are swollen and after some time they go down again. Like my hand is swollen now, my leg..." he explained.
Edochie also shared a poignant plea he makes to a higher power concerning his mortality. "I just keep asking God, 'you are the author of life. Whenever you feel it is time for me to go, just take me. Don't let me bother the people who are around me. So, just take me,'" he recounted, expressing a desire for a swift departure to avoid becoming a burden to his loved ones.
