Kwara School Teacher Falls Prey to Terrorists on Way to Work, Community Cries Out Over Insecurity

The incident occurred on Thursday morning along the Obbo-Ile–Eruku Road in the Ekiti Local Government Area, as the teacher was making his way to work at the Cooperative Primary School in Eruku. According to sources within the community, Adeoye was intercepted by the terrorists, who then whisked him away to an unknown location. As of the time of this report, the whereabouts of the teacher remain unknown, with efforts ongoing to secure his release. The abduction has sent shockwaves through the community, with residents expressing deep concern over the growing insecurity in the area. A resident, who preferred to remain anonymous due to security concerns, described the incident as a troubling sign of the increasing danger along the Obbo-Ile–Eruku axis. In November 2025, the Kwara State Police Command confirmed an attack by suspected terrorists on the Eruku community, which resulted in the deaths of at least two people and injured another.
