Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Vows to Clear Name Amidst Fake Presidential Council Allegations

Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the individual accused of establishing a fictitious entity known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has publicly asserted his readiness to cooperate with legal proceedings to exonerate himself. This declaration follows the Presidency's denial on Wednesday, July 1, of any association with or knowledge of the said organization.
A statement released by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, a presidential media aide, confirmed that security agencies are currently investigating Adeyemi, with plans to arraign him in court on July 27. The statement further detailed Adeyemi's claim of possessing an appointment letter signed by President Tinubu's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, a claim that Gbajabiamila has since refuted.
During an evening interview with Channels TV, Adeyemi expressed his preparedness to defend his stance, insisting that his appointment to lead the organization was legitimate. When questioned about his willingness to face the legal system, he affirmed, “Definitely, sir. If I’m wrong, let the court of law do that, and if I’m right, let the court of law do that; do the right thing.”
He strongly rejected the accusations labeling him a con artist, stating, “Since the matter is in the court, let the court of competent jurisdiction vindicate me because I’m ready to clear my name. Let the court take its course. Since my lawyers are involved, everybody will follow us. They will monitor the whole thing. Then let the court of competent jurisdiction do what they need to.”
When pressed by the program's host, Seun, regarding the source of funding for the council's staff salaries, Adeyemi maintained that “the truth will be unraveled at the court of law.” He concluded by saying, “Mr Seun, I don’t want to talk much about it since the matter is in court. In fact, I’m restricted from talking since the matter is in the courts. So let’s just get to the courts, Ok?”
