Popular Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu, became visibly emotional during a recent appearance on the "Beer Parlour Talkshow," shedding tears as he recounted the profound impact and fallout from his past health struggles. Agwu, who was a dominant force in Nigeria's entertainment industry in the mid-2000s, celebrated for hit songs like "Handwork" and his groundbreaking comedy shows, experienced a dramatic turn in his life in May 2015. A sudden seizure led to the discovery that he was battling a brain tumor.

Despite successfully undergoing a major brain surgery in May 2016, the veteran entertainer disclosed that the extensive medical ordeal significantly affected his memory. Overwhelmed with grief, the pioneer of the "musicomedy" genre openly shared details of the deep financial and emotional betrayal he experienced from close associates during his period of recovery.

Agwu revealed that numerous friends abandoned him, ceasing all communication, and further stated that his own manager at the time allegedly stole his money. Expressing the immense pain of being forsaken by the very industry he had helped to build, the comedian entrusted his grievances to a higher power. He offered prayers against those responsible for his travails, affirming that he would leave their judgment to God.

In his emotional statement, Agwu said: "Musicomedy, I formed it. That's to tell you how my brain works. That is why…everythung (he burst into tears…Anyone who has a hand in what happened to me, that person…..I will be wondering what kind of life I am living. My friends deserted me. It is well!''
