Victor Ikpe, widely recognized as Keivo, a former participant in Big Brother Naija Season 11, has finally addressed his recent disqualification from the reality television program. He explicitly stated that he bears complete responsibility for the physical altercation which ultimately led to his premature exit. Keivo conveyed these sentiments in a statement released via his X page on Thursday, several days following Big Brother's decision to remove him from the show due to his confrontation with another housemate, Tram.

In his statement, he remarked, “I’ve had some time to reflect on everything that happened and I take full responsibility for my actions. My emotions took the best of me. Regardless of how strongly I felt, physical confrontation is never a solution to any situation. And I take full responsibility for my actions.”

His disqualification from the ‘Show Ya Sef’ season occurred on Tuesday, subsequent to an argument with Tram escalating into an act of physical aggression. Big Brother officially named Keivo as the instigator of the violence, leading to his immediate expulsion from the competition.

Commenting on his departure, Keivo expressed his commitment to learning from the incident and striving for personal improvement. He penned, “I will learn, become better, and do my very best to make you proud of Keivo the Challenger, the Competitor, the man of many talents, the son of Grace, the VICTOR.”

Furthermore, the ex-housemate extended his gratitude to both Big Brother and MultiChoice for the chance to be part of the reality series. He stated, “Being in the house, sharing my story, connecting with amazing people and showing myself, I will never take that for granted.”

He further acknowledged his family, friends, and numerous supporters who offered prayers, cast votes, and remained steadfast, especially those who had envisioned him reaching the finals. “I came into Big Brother’s house hoping Nigerians would see who I am. I leave knowing that millions of people did. Thank you for loving me at my best, and thank you for holding me accountable for my actions,” he conveyed.

Before his disqualification, Keivo was a contender for the Season 11 grand prize. He revealed that he is now seeking God’s “mercy, wisdom, grace, and strength” as he embarks on what he terms a new phase in his life. He added, “I trust that he has a purpose for every chapter, including this one. I will continue to trust him.”

His statement concluded with expressions of appreciation for the Big Brother community and a salutation of Happy Independence Day to Nigerians.
