Records indicate a formal alteration of her name from Margot Elise Robbie to Margot Elise Ackerley. Despite this legal modification, Robbie has maintained her maiden name professionally since 2015, when she first became a director at LuckyChap Entertainment, and she is widely anticipated to continue doing so in her acting career.

Robbie and Ackerley, both 36, established LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014 alongside Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr.
