Knowings, who was just 46 years old, passed away in Los Angeles after suffering a severe asthma attack that left her with brain damage. According to reports, the asthma attack occurred on Friday, and she was subsequently placed on life support. Unfortunately, her condition did not improve, and her family made the difficult decision to remove her from life support on Tuesday night. The news of her passing was announced by her aunt, Tyleah Joseph, on Facebook the following day. Christy Knowings was a multi-talented performer who was known for her versatility in singing, acting, and dancing. Her manager, Al Hill, remembered her as a dedicated and professional artist who was always committed to her craft. 'Christy was a multi-talented lady,' Hill said in a statement to Variety. 'Whether it was singing, acting, dancing, she was always creating. Always professional and dedicated to her work.' Knowings joined the cast of All That in 1997 and became a household name among Nickelodeon viewers. She was part of the main cast for three seasons, alongside other notable stars like Amanda Bynes, Kenan Thompson, and Kel Mitchell. The show was a launching pad for many young stars, including Nick Cannon and Gabriel Iglesias, who later joined the programme. Knowings also worked with her twin brother, Chris Knowings, on several projects, including an appearance on Sesame Street. Her death is the second tragedy to hit the All That family this year, following the passing of former cast member Kianna Underwood, who died in a hit-and-run accident at the age of 33.
