Nollywood's Juliet Cassie Urges Husbands to Support Wives Financially

Popular Nollywood actress Juliet Cassie has called on married men to take greater responsibility for the financial well-being of their wives and families. In a video that has been making the rounds online, Cassie pointed out that many married women, particularly those who were financially independent before marriage, often find themselves in difficult financial situations after tying the knot. She noted that marriage and the responsibilities that come with it, such as motherhood, can significantly impact a woman's ability to earn a living and manage her finances. Cassie expressed concern that 'nobody borrows money more than married women,' and emphasized that this was not meant as an insult, but rather as a call to action for husbands to step up and support their wives. She advised men to make life easier for their wives by providing essential household items and sharing domestic responsibilities, rather than adding to their burden. The actress also condemned husbands who spend money on other women while neglecting their wives, describing such behavior as a form of financial abuse. Cassie warned that if marriage is seen as a financially unviable option, women may increasingly choose to prioritize their careers over getting married and having children. 'Do not blame them if they choose not to get married or have children when they see no benefits to it,' she added.
