Inside Temitope Osoba's Final Days: Fiancé Onadeko Shares Intimate Details

Prophet Itunu Onadeko, the fiancé of the late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, has shared the story of how they met and fell in love. In an interview with the Celestial Reality Check, Onadeko revealed that Osoba first visited his church, CCC Onibuore Cathedral in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State, seeking prayers. The prophet, who is also the Shepherd-in-charge of the church, said he was already familiar with Osoba's work in Yoruba-language Nollywood movies and had a great admiration for her talent. Their first meeting was facilitated by Osoba's younger sister, who introduced them and requested that Onadeko pray for her sister. Following their initial meeting, Onadeko and Osoba developed a close friendship, which eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. According to Onadeko, Osoba had expressed interest in marrying him, and they started dating after she jokingly asked if he had a wife. Onadeko also spoke about Osoba's struggles with drug addiction, stating that he was unaware of her addiction when their relationship began. He added that he did not have the financial means to take her to rehab after discovering her addiction. The prophet denied ever praying for any of Osoba's former husbands, stating that he did not know much about her past relationships. Onadeko's account comes as the public continues to mourn the loss of the 40-year-old actress, who died after a battle with cancer. The actress's family has warned against unauthorized reports about her death, describing various claims on social media as 'false, speculative, and entirely unauthorized.' The family has announced that Osoba's burial will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, with a funeral service at Saint James Anglican Church and interment at Iperu Remo Cemetery. Friends and colleagues of the actress are also planning to hold a candlelight and artiste night in her honor on Tuesday, August 11, at LTV 8 in Ikeja, Lagos.
