Beloved 'Sopranos' Star Vincent Pastore Dies Aged 80

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of veteran actor Vincent Pastore, who was found dead in his New York home at the age of 80. Pastore was best known for his iconic role as Salvatore 'Big Pussy' Bonpensiero in the hit TV series 'The Sopranos'. His manager, Bob McGowan, confirmed the news, stating that he was informed of Pastore's passing by another actor on the show, Vincent Curatola. According to McGowan, Pastore's body was discovered after he had not been heard from for several days. McGowan had been trying to reach him regarding a potential job opportunity. 'He was the most loyal client and he always gave to charity,' McGowan said, 'and he was the kind of guy who would help anybody, which is rare in my business.' Pastore had a long and distinguished career, appearing in numerous films and TV shows, including 'Goodfellas' and 'Awakenings'. Born in the Bronx, Pastore grew up in suburban New Rochelle, New York, and later attended Pace University after serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his daughter, Renee Pastore.
