Just introduced as a housemate for Big Brother Naija Season 11, Tram quickly found himself trending across social media platforms. This online buzz followed the re-emergence of an old video featuring an interaction between him and renowned American streamer, Darren Watkins Jr., better known as iShowSpeed. The 24-year-old Lagos native, a streamer and content creator by profession, was among the initial contestants unveiled on Sunday, portraying himself as a relaxed individual driven by the desire to excel in the game.

Soon after Tram's entry into the BBNaija house, digital detectives on various social media sites unearthed a widely circulated clip. This footage dates back to early 2026, during iShowSpeed's "Speed Does Africa" tour, specifically when the internet sensation visited Lagos shortly after celebrating his 21st birthday. The controversial video depicts Tram handing iShowSpeed a condom in a busy location, lightheartedly remarking that he had "fine shyt" or a "babe" for him, gesturing towards a young woman nearby. He also made a point of mentioning iShowSpeed's recent 21st birthday, implying a new freedom to party.

The interaction, though brief, concluded with iShowSpeed sharing a laugh and then passing the condom to one of his security personnel. Nevertheless, the clip rapidly gained traction online, igniting significant controversy. Many Nigerians, at the time of its initial virality, condemned Tram, alleging that he was trying to "procure" local women for the American content creator. In response to the widespread criticism, Tram refuted these claims, maintaining that the incident was misinterpreted and merely represented typical "streamer banter" rather than a genuine proposition.

An older video, re-shared by entertainment blogger Oyindamola, shows Tram offering a defence of his actions, stating his intention was purely humorous. He was quoted saying, “Nigga, I was only trying to be funny and I said, ‘Bro, I got some partnership for you.’ If you watch streaming content, you guys are talking up. Everybody in Nigeria is such a hypocrite. It’s paining me. All of you are acting like Speed is Jesus Christ and we should be presenting him our best. Speed, take my bottle of water. All of you are trying to be respectful to a nigga that barks on social media. Did you see when Speed met Ronaldo? He was literally begging Ronaldo to take a picture. Speed comes to Nigeria and all of you are glazing, acting like he’s a god. I spoke to him like a regular nigga. He’s 21. I’m older than this nigga. I said, ‘Bro, I got some partnership for you.’ He looked at the girls and smiled.”

As Tram embarks on his journey as a BBNaija housemate, the controversial video has once again made its rounds on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media channels. This renewed visibility has prompted many users to re-engage with the initial controversy, while a significant number of others have come to the streamer's defence, asserting that the exchange was misinterpreted and taken out of its intended context. The 11th installment of the popular Big Brother Naija reality TV series officially kicked off on Sunday, introducing 24 contestants who will vie for the coveted grand prize of ₦160 million this season.
