Hollywood Mourns Godfather III Star Anthony Guidera After Sudden Death at 65

The entertainment industry is reeling from the news of Anthony Guidera's passing. The American actor, best known for his role in the iconic film The Godfather Part III, died on June 6 at the age of 65. According to his wife, Valarie, Guidera's heart suddenly stopped beating on May 11 while he was at home in Southern California, prompting his rushed admission to the hospital. After spending three weeks in the hospital, Guidera was taken off life support and brought home, where he passed away surrounded by his loved ones. The cause of his initial collapse remains unknown, as doctors were unable to determine what led to the sudden stoppage of his heart. Valarie took to Facebook to announce her husband's death, expressing her deep sadness and asking fans to keep their family in their prayers. 'It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Anthony,' she wrote. 'We are devastated and trying to breathe through the impossible, taking each moment as it comes. Please hold this eternal light in your hearts and our family in your prayers.' Guidera's breakthrough role came in 1990 when he played a bodyguard in The Godfather Part III. He went on to appear in several films, including Species, The Rock, and Armageddon, as well as TV shows like Renegade, Baywatch, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Guidera's wife had previously praised his spirit, describing him as 'beyond a father' to their son, Nick, and a 'true influencer of dreams and an elevated foundation for love and the higher path.'
