Chemical and Allied Products Plc, the renowned manufacturer of Sandtex paint, recently hosted the grand finale of the 2026 Sandtex Paint Your Dream Challenge in Lagos. The event, which took place at NECA House in Alausa, Ikeja, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including students, educators, parents, and media representatives, to celebrate the exceptional artistic talents of young Nigerians. As a purpose-driven initiative, the Sandtex Paint Your Dream Challenge aims to inspire young people to think creatively, dream boldly, and express their ideas with confidence. By doing so, the company seeks to empower the next generation of innovators and create meaningful opportunities for them to succeed. The competition, which is more than just a painting contest, challenges participants to imagine and illustrate their vision of the future, including the buildings, homes, and communities they aspire to see. At the grand finale, Sango Senior Secondary School, Agege, emerged as the grand champion, taking home the star prize of ₦1,000,000. Chrisland School and Praise Generation College secured second and third places, respectively, with prizes of ₦750,000 and ₦500,000. The Managing Director of CAP PLC, represented by the Company Secretary and General Counsel Olutola Bella, noted that the initiative is an extension of the company's commitment to creating value beyond its products. According to Bella, 'the strongest brands create value beyond the products they sell. Through Sandtex, we are investing in creativity, education, and the next generation of innovators because brighter communities begin with empowered young minds.' Ijeoma Barnaby-Nsikak, the Regional Sales Manager, Lagos 1, also spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of connecting purpose with community impact. The success of the competition was made possible through the collective support of participating schools, teachers, parents, judges, retail partners, distributors, and the wider Sandtex community. As one of Nigeria's most trusted decorative paint brands, Sandtex remains committed to delivering high-quality paint solutions while championing initiatives that support education, creativity, and national development.
