MOUAU Students To Get Refund Of Excess Fees Paid Before NELFUND Disbursement

The Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Prof. Ursula Ngozi Akanwa, has given a directive for the refund of excess fees paid by students who received the Nigerian Education Loan Fund. This development was made known during the inauguration of the newly elected Students' Union Government. According to Prof. Akanwa, the decision to refund the excess fees is aimed at ensuring that students who paid their fees before the release of the NELFUND loan are not disadvantaged. The Vice Chancellor has instructed the University's Bursar to commence the refund process for the affected students. In addition, Prof. Akanwa urged students to register for their courses as soon as possible after resuming for the 2026/2027 academic session. She emphasized that early registration would facilitate the smooth commencement of academic activities. The Vice Chancellor also charged the new Students' Union Government executives to provide responsible leadership and work collaboratively with the University Management to promote peace and the welfare of students.
