Northwest University HOD Flogged by Husband Over Alleged Sex-for-Project Harassment

A university lecturer reportedly faced a severe beating from the husband of a female student following allegations of sexual harassment. The incident, captured on video, shows the academic staff member pleading for mercy during the assault. The lecturer, identified as the Head of Department for History and International Studies at Northwest University (formerly known as Yusuf Maitama University) and also a visiting lecturer at Mariam Abacha American Nigerian University (MAAUN), is accused of persistently refusing to approve a married female student's project for two years. This refusal was allegedly contingent on her acceding to his sexual advances.
After enduring the prolonged academic setback, the student reportedly confided in her husband about the lecturer's demands. Together, they devised a plan to expose him. Sources familiar with the lecturer's alleged chat logs with the student indicate he scheduled a meeting for sexual relations with her immediately after Maghrib prayers. However, upon arriving at the agreed location at the stipulated time, the lecturer was met not by the student alone, but by her husband and several other individuals. They proceeded to physically assault him before subsequently handing him over to the police authorities.
