Lagos Building Collapse: Ten Residents Saved in Alakija

Emergency teams successfully extracted ten individuals from the debris of a three-storey residential edifice that crumbled in Lagos State's Alakija district earlier today, June 25. Those brought out from the wreckage sustained injuries of different severities.
Margeret Adeseye, who serves as the General Manager for the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed details about the structure. She stated that the ill-fated building was a residential property situated on Old Ojo Road, near Alakija Bus Stop, specifically off the Lagos-Badagry Expressway in Satellite Town, Lagos.
Adeseye further elaborated on the situation, stating, "The incident involves the collapse of a storey building, an existing residential structure occupied by multiple residents at the time of the incident. As of the time of this report, 10 persons have been rescued alive with varying degrees of injuries and have been handed over to medical personnel for necessary treatment."
A coordinated effort by various emergency and security agencies was observed at the site. These included personnel from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the Federal Fire Service, the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Navy, the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, all working together in the rescue operation.
