Full Story
Reports indicate that a sum of N500 million has been demanded by bandits for the release of a pregnant woman abducted in Kaduna State. The victim, identified as Jamila, was reportedly kidn*pped on October 5, 2026, alongside Ahmed Zakka, his wife, and their infant child.
Following the recent freedom of Zakka and his family, security analyst and conflict reporter, Bakatsine, brought Jamila's continued captivity to public attention on X on Thursday night, October 15. Bakatsine urged the public and authorities not to forget Jamila, who remains in the custody of her abductors after the incident in Millennium City, Kaduna State.
According to reports, the kidn*ppers have established contact with Jamila's husband and are demanding N500 million for her safe return. A distressing message from Jamila herself reportedly revealed her profound fears for her life while in captivity.
Bakatsine's post emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating: “Since Ahmed Zakka and his young family regained their freedom, we must also remember Jamila, the pregnant woman still being held by bandits after her abduction in Millennium City, Kaduna State.” He added, “Reports say her abductors have contacted her husband and are demanding 500 million Naira for her release. In a heartbreaking message, Jamila reportedly expressed fears for her life.”
The appeal continued: “Please, we need to turn our attention now to her too. We appeal collectively to the authorities, security agencies and everyone who can help to do everything possible to secure her safe rescue. Jamila is pregnant and needs urgent help. Her family is waiting for her, and her unborn baby deserves a chance at life. May Allah protect her and bring her home safely. Ameen.” The call to action highlights the critical need for intervention to ensure Jamila's safety and reunification with her family.
