Five Accused of Murder After UK Newborn's Demise in Sheffield

Authorities in the United Kingdom have pressed charges against five individuals, comprising four adults and a 15-year-old girl, in connection with the tragic death of a newborn infant in Sheffield. The baby girl's lifeless body was discovered at a residence located on Holywell Heights in the Wincobank district last Sunday morning, following a distress call to the police expressing concerns for her well-being.

According to a report by the BBC on Wednesday, two men, aged 19 and 38, alongside two women, aged 20 and 37, are facing multiple serious charges. These include murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and perverting the course of justice. The latter charge stems from allegations that they took deliberate steps to hide the killing of the infant. The 15-year-old female, whose identity remains protected due to her minor status, has been charged solely with perverting the course of justice.

The suspects have been identified as Peter Horvath, 19, residing at Holywell Heights; Andrea Skopova, 20, previously of Robey Street; Nina Horvathova, 37, also of Holywell Heights; and Peter Horvath, 38, from Holywell Heights. All five individuals have been remanded into police custody and are scheduled to make their initial court appearance at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court. Investigators continue their efforts to fully ascertain the precise details surrounding the circumstances that led to the baby’s death.
