Kano Community Attack Claims Life of APC Ward Chairman

Full Story
Tragedy struck in Kano State's Bebeji Local Government Area on Sunday, August 30, as Alhaji Garba Buba, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman for Rantan ward, was fatally shot by suspected kidn*ppers. Reports indicate that the assailants stormed the Rantan community, opening fire on residents and resulting in the death of another individual, Sulaiman Zunduma.
According to Hamza Isah Rantan, a local resident who confirmed the incident, Alhaji Buba sustained gunshot wounds during the attack and was later pronounced dead at the hospital where he had been rushed for urgent medical care. Isah Rantan further clarified that Sulaiman Zunduma succumbed to his injuries instantly after being shot by the attackers.
This violent incident occurred just hours after the successful rescue of Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa, who holds the title of Sarkin Noman of Kano State. Alhaji Chiromawa had been abducted by armed men the previous Saturday in the Chiromawa community, located within Garun Malam Local Government. During the abduction, five people were reportedly shot and wounded.
