Adamawa Police Nab Suspect Over Death of 30-Year-Old Yola Resident

The Adamawa State Police Command has taken into custody a suspect, Abubakar Musa, in connection with the alleged murder of Nathaniel Yusuf, a 30-year-old man from Jambutu Ward, Yola North Local Government Area. According to SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the command's spokesperson, the arrest was made after a report was filed at the Divisional Police Headquarters by the victim's sister, Grace Yusuf. She claimed that her brother had been attacked by the suspect. Following the report, police operatives swiftly responded to the distress call, visited the scene, and rushed the victim to the Specialist Hospital in Jimeta for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries, which included severe fractures to both legs, his right hand, and head injuries, after allegedly being attacked with a stick by the suspect. The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case, ensuring a thorough investigation and diligent prosecution of the suspect. The deceased's body has been deposited at the medical facility for an autopsy, while the investigation is ongoing. The police command has reassured the public of its commitment to ensuring justice and has urged residents to remain law-abiding and continue to support the police with credible information to aid ongoing investigations.
