Man Found Deceased in Bayelsa Guest House After Suspected Romp

Authorities in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, are currently investigating the mysterious death of a 40-year-old man, identified only as Felix, who reportedly hails from Cross River State. Felix was discovered lifeless and unclothed in a room at a guest house situated along Azikoro Road in the Ekeki area during the early hours of Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The discovery was made after a cleaner at the establishment raised an alarm.

The incident is believed to have followed an alleged intimate encounter with an unidentified woman who was reportedly with Felix but was nowhere to be found when his body was discovered. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that several sachets of alcoholic beverages were found within the room before law enforcement agents arrived to cordon off the area and remove the deceased's body.

The unfortunate news drew a crowd of sympathizers to the Seriake Dickson Shopping Complex, where Felix worked as a mobile phone repairer. In connection with the ongoing investigation, three individuals, including the guest house owner and the cleaner who found the body, were reportedly taken into custody.

Felix's brother, Dennis, was also briefly apprehended by police after he was found in possession of his brother's mobile phone. However, Dennis was subsequently released after he explained that a phone charging operator had handed him the device when his attempts to locate Felix proved unsuccessful.

As of now, the police have not yet ascertained the precise cause of death. Efforts are actively underway to identify and locate the woman who was reportedly with Felix prior to the tragic incident.
