Zimbabwean Man Sought by UK Police After Wife, Two Children Found De@d in Bedford

UK authorities are currently searching for Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, also known as Mark, in connection with the tragic deaths of his wife and two young daughters. The bodies of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma and her children were discovered after officers were forced to enter a £1.3 million residence in Great Denham, near Bedford, on Monday, July 6th.
Police released a CCTV image of the 45-year-old Bedford resident on July 7th. Tshuma, a British citizen of Zimbabwean descent, is believed to have left the United Kingdom from Heathrow Airport on Saturday, July 4th, using a British passport. He is now thought to be in Zimbabwe.
While formal identification is still pending, police suspect the deceased are his wife, 42-year-old Nothabo Zandile Tshuma (known as Zandile), and their daughters, Natalie (15) and Nala (5). A family friend, whose daughter was close with the youngest victim, described the suspected murders as “incomprehensible,” adding that both children were “amazing.” The friend, who expressed profound shock, declined to comment on any potential family issues.
Authorities had to gain forced entry into the property after concerns were raised when the trio had not been seen for several days. Detective Inspector Lee Martin, the senior investigating officer, confirmed the ongoing “fast-paced, complex investigation” with numerous lines of enquiry.
Addressing the suspect directly, DI Martin stated, “Mark, unthinkable harm has been caused to those around you, and this has left your relatives and friends utterly devastated. Criminal investigation knows no borders. We are actively working with national and international agencies to pursue every available line of enquiry to track you down. Please do the right thing, come forward and hand yourself in to local authorities.” He also extended heartfelt thoughts to Zandile, Natalie, and Nala, as well as their loved ones during this difficult period.
Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma reportedly purchased the four-bedroom, four-bathroom detached house, which includes a swimming pool, two years ago for £1.3 million. Both Mr. and Mrs. Tshuma were originally from Zimbabwe, while their children were born in the UK.
ACC Murphy affirmed the commitment of all necessary resources to determine the events that transpired and to apprehend the responsible individual. He confirmed that a suspect, known to all three victims, has been identified and is believed to have departed the country. ACC Murphy reassured the public that there is no indication of a wider risk but announced an increased police presence in and around the Great Denham area to support the investigation and provide comfort to residents. He urged anyone with information or who observed suspicious activities in Carnoustie Drive, Great Denham, on Friday or Saturday to come forward.
